Show Applications for Term 1 are now open!

RAW is open to all students who want to try their hand at hosting a radio show! You can host any show, from a show about your favourite music to a speech show delving into your interests. Here are some examples to get you thinking for Term 3!

• Our sports department covers all sports from women's football to the F1 and on-campus sports tournaments. If you are passionate about sports, then you can work with our sports department to create your own sports show.
• We have an extensive news department chat that covers all things from campus news to the headlines of the week
• Our arts department, although one of the smaller departments at RAW, is one of the most diverse!
• By far our biggest department, the music department covers every spectrum of musical taste from metal to chill 
• Prefer non-stop talking? Then our speech department is the place for you to get your opinion out there on the waves.
• For any early birds, creative spirits, you can host a breakfast show from 9-11am! Breakfast shows do not have departments, so you have the freedom to try out different concepts over the morning slot.
• If you've got a busy schedule and you can't commit to a regular show or have an idea for a limited series, then you can apply for one-off slots too!
• Please note that it is not compulsory to run your show weekly. Check out our flexible options when the form reopens!

Please note that all people hosting a show on RAW must have completed their training and signed the DJ contract. This includes one-off shows. If you need a refresher on the desk training, there will be a sign-up in the application forms.

Thinking of getting the name of your society out there whilst supporting student media? Then running a society show on RAW is the place! With previous success in their live shows from a variety of societies, such as Whosoc and Warwick Kpop Society, join our society shows for a unique and fun way to discuss what your society is all about through the only radio medium on Warwick Campus!

Societies can either host weekly live shows or send in pre-recorded shows, which will air at a chosen time and be put up as a podcast on our website.

Please note that all people hosting a society show must have completed their training and signed the DJ contract beforehand. This includes one-off shows.

Booking Studio 2 

Here at RAW, we have two studios: our main live studio (Studio 1) and our pre-recording studio (Studio 2). If you wish to book for a live show at RAW, please fill out the link above in the 'Show Applications (Standard)' section. Studio 2 is perfect for those looking to create a podcast that can be uploaded onto the Website's 'Podcasts' section, as well as giving you the flexibility to upload your work onto platforms such as Spotify!

This studio is currently under its finally stages of investment and is now open for audio only bookings via the form here. We are currently in the midst of installing our cameras to complete this room as an audio-visual space and we are hoping to have this done by the end of term 1 :)

If you are a society member using this space for your own personal use then you are exempt from fees. If you are a society, club or department the following charges apply and are based off the use of the studio space for 1h periods with the termly rate being based off of 1h a week over the 10 weeks: 

• Societies and clubs: £5 per session or £40 a term
• Departments: £5 per session, £40 a term or £150 a year 

Please note that Studio 2 does not function the same as Studio 1, and even if you are well-versed in using Studio 1, it is worth requesting assistance if you have never used Studio 2 before. Your own laptop must be brought with you, and ensure you have some sort of Digital Audio Workstation installed (the most common are Reaper and Audacity). Using RAW's Equipment 

We understand that sometimes other societies require the use of pieces of tech that they don't have, and as a result, RAW is always willing to lend a helping hand to fellow societies through lending out pieces of equipment. The lending of equipment is all sorted through RAW's Technical Manager and can be requested by filling out the form here.
